In cat years, I'm only a day late

I have decided to write something again. Humans may think it's been a while but in cat time, what's a year or two.

Another trip I'm not going on

I heard my owners saying someone's going to England
Could it be the Daily Dave and Britt?
Why not me?
I'm small (ok maybe I'm medium) and could fit into carry on luggage. I could pretend to be a seeing eye cat.

Sarah Says (human site)

I have been reading Sarah says at

 http://saidsarah.blogspot.com/

She's a good friend of the Daily Dave and her site is quite good...for someone with only two legs. The only improvement I can think of is more articles about tuna and fur balls.

Blue Jay

I think I saw a Blue Jay outside the window this weekend. Maybe it wasn't a Blue Jay, but it was some sort of a blue bird.
I wonder if it tastes like blueberries? Maybe my friend Joe the Cat from Florida knows......someone must have tasted a blue bird at some time or another.
I wonder if a canary tastes like a banana?

10 Reasons Why I Love My Owner/Mom

1. Tuna at lunch
2. She scratches my head and ears
3. Tuna at lunch
4. She gives me snacks before she leaves the house (most of the time)
5. Tuna at lunch
6. She made me my own quilt to sleep on (well, it's mine now)
7. Tuna at lunch
8. She usually washes my water and food dish every night
9. Tuna at lunch
and
10. Just "because"

Albert Schweitzer visits my website

On second thought, I think he's dead. I really just used this headline as a cheap device to get a quote from him onto my website:

"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats"
Albert Schweitzer

Are we sure he didn't write "Cats" the musical?
Don't worry Doodles and Tribby, I'm sure he liked dogs too, although he didn't leave a quote or include them in his famous theorum E=MC2. in which the C is for Cat.

The can of life!

There is a god, a tuna god.
This is true artwork. Andy Wharhol, eat your heart out.

The good life indeed

Nothing like a daytime nap on my favorite chair

Missy and Puppy come to visit...sort of

We had some visitors yesterday. Missy and Puppy came to accidentally visit us from several miles away. Unfortunately, they forgot to tell their owners and left the night before. Luckily they had tags and my caring owners called their worried owners who were able to come and get them. Dogs --(sigh) -- cannt live with them, can't live without them. These two won't be on Jeopardy any time soon

Happy Independence Day

Happy Independence Day everybody. I think people forget what an important role dogs and cats played in the American Revolution. I did, but I was thinking....
How many lives were saved by dogs barking at oncoming British soldiers? How many lives were saved by cats eating mice that carried disease that could have infected our brave new American soldiers? Come on let's hear it for the aminals that helped free the USA

A surprise burst of energy

I don't know what happened, but I woke up this morning with a sense of blogness and I just whipped out a bunch of super witty articles. The world is a better place.

"Nigel's secret to success"

Time to pay homage to one of the leading animal commentator blogs in the World...Mr Doodles Dogs. I couldn't figure out how the Doodles and Joe the Cat could be so witty until I came upon Nigel's secret .... he is an avid reader!!!

Undercats

Why do they refer to someone who is thought not to have a chance of winning as an underDOG.
Why not an underCAT?
Is it because cats are incapable of believing they can never be of a lower status? Is it because of a cat's superior athletic agility? Is it because of some stereotyping in the animal kingdom?
I've thought deeply about this (between naps) and I believe it all boils down to the fact that dogs simply have poor public relation agents. Some things are simple to figure out.

Must have had some bad tuna

Guess that I had some bad tuna. One of my owners is trying to straighten out the room for me.

Owners gone wild

Owners gone wild. I'm not sure where this was taken, but it's obvious that they're having too good of a time.

I just can't let them out of the house!

Ah, the good life

After hard day of sleep, time for a relaxing rest on my favorite quilt

Daily Dave turns 144

Today is the Daily Daves birthday. Happy Birthday big brother. In cat years, he's about 144 years old.
I'm looking for an old age home for him. If I can't find one, maybe he can live in an old laundry basket, oh wait, that's my housing situation.

Max the cat from Orlando

I recently learned that my good cat friend from Orlando passed away a few days ago. He was a large cat like myself.
He was a good and loyal companion to his owners and I'm sure he will be missed. Large cats are large losses.

I'm on the top of the cat world

My "pictures" on Mr. Doodles Dog

I have been recognized by one of the most prestigious, well-read, respected, sites (even better than the Daily Dave) in the entire animal commentator community. I have appeared on the Mr. Doodles Dogs website
http://homepage.mac.com/patkane/iblog
Oh happy day!
Thank you Nigel, Gimlet and my fellow feline, Joe

Dog (well actually Cat) Days of Summer

Summer weather has set in. Hot and humid here in Alabama. Reminds me of when I was a kitten in Ft. Lauderdale Florida - 10 years and 10 pounds ago.

NASCAR lowers driver standards

Desperate to meet federal diversity requirements, NASCAR lowers their standards.
These are two of my dog friends from Orlando. They actually think that the car will be going somewhere soon.

Ah...a stupid large bird winds up dead and fried to satisfy the human gods

Another meal that I wasn't invited to.

Genetic defects in humans

Apparently, my human owners has passed on the gene that creates a desire to have pictures taken with make-believe animals to at least one of their sons. This is picture of the Daily Dave with a make-believe animal. When will they learn?

Dinner anyone?

Well, what can I say? You let them out of the house for a day or two and this is what you get. Not sure who is eyeing who for dinner. I guess the giant tuna was off for the night!!! Posted by Hello

Liberal Cat Blog???

I have noticed a liberal trend in commentary to my site. As an enlightened cat, I welcome such commentary. I support same sex cat marriage, pro-choice on cat birth control and an end to the War in Iraq.
I also support tax breaks to my owners, a chicken in every pot, two cars in every garage and free dog food to all wire terriors.
Guess I'm sort of an independent sort of cat.

Can a cat get a state funeral?

I have been descibed by many as being regal...ultra regal to be exact. Based on that fact and after the 9th life, I'd like to get a state funeral. I could be drawn along by 4 giant white tuna fish on a bed of lettuce....haven't worked out the details yet

Eat Dirt - The Daily Dave 2.0

I really shouldn't make fun of my agent's blog, but I have him under my spell!

Now what?

Well, I've arrived!!!
